Swinging Jazz Christmas Dance & Dinner OPEN TO THE PUBLIC - the event will be held 6 - 10pm on Saturday, Dec 12th, at the Cocoa Beach Country Club auditorium, 5000 Tom Warriner Blvd, Cocoa Beach, FL. Reservations are required (deadline December 1st). Tickets are $40 each and are the best bargain in Brevard for the holiday season. Dan Jordan Quintet
2 - 4:30pm, Cocoa Beach Country Club Nationally recognized jazz musician and educator Dan Jordan is currently an adjunct professor at Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL and has been an educator and musician since 1976. He was titled as Florida All State Jazz Band Tenor one for 1976-1977 and is the creator of a nationally distributed educational video, “Journey through Jazz”. Dan has taught at numerous schools including Rollins College and has performed with a multitude of renowned artists such as Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Barry Manilow, The Four Tops, The Temptations and many more. He has performed on New York City Broadway, “Late Night with David Letterman,” and in countless other shows and productions. The Dan Jordan Quintet includes Daniel on Sax, Flute, alto flute and bass flute, Suzy Park on vocals, Chris Rottmayer on piano, Chuck Archard on bass, and Walt Hubbard drums. |

Carol Stein in a Valentine Day Special “A Musical Journey of Love and More”
International acclaimed pianist Carol Stein will perform with her quartet on Sunday, Valentine’s Day, Feb 14 at the Cocoa Beach Country Club starting at 2 pm. One of the most popular musicians to perform for the SCJS, she will be headlining for the 9th time and will be backed by her sidemen: Barry Smith on drums, Eddie Marshall on reeds, and Charlie Silva on bass. What an entertaining group! Stein has been a resident pianist at Disney and has performed at most of the top night spots in Orlando and has also performed at the Kennedy Center in DC, at Carnegie Hall in New York, and dozens of international cities. Music charge is $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers. Students free. Tickets are available at the door. |
